Excellent boots, as you would expect from Mammut.

I already own two pair of Mammut boots for different types of walking. I did not own a proper pair of mountaineering boots and after researching for months decided to stick with Mammut as I know they have a broad fit, ideal for my feet.
I was planning a trip to the Scottish Highlands at Easter so knew I needed something sturdy with good grip, waterproof and to take crampons.
My Kento's duly arrived and on first inspection looked the part. Expertly made and I might add, very handsome indeed :-)
I tried them straight on, fitted like a glove and stayed on for the rest of the day around the house. normally the first thing I do with new boots is to replace the insoles, but these come already fitted with very comfortable memory foam insoles.
My partner and myself headed for the Cairngorms on Easter Sunday with plans to do 3 Munro's on the Monday. The weather was bright and cold with snow in the air. We set off at low level across bogs before quickly ascending into the snow and ice. The Kento's were very comfortable even while traversing and with great grip in the snow.
We soon had to stop and put our crampons on. These too felt great. The rest of the day was spent ascending and descending through very deep snow and ice. My feet remained dry, warm and comfortable.
We had another climb in the Cairngorms in even deeper snow after a heavy snow storm before moving West to Glencoe. Three days and climbs later in bogs, snow, ice and very wet rock and the boots are now confirmed a great favourite of mine and I would highly recommend them.
