Product description
The 8.7 Serenity Dry rope from Mammut is something else. It is triple-certified as a single rope, half rope, double or twin rope. This means that the thin, lightweight rope can be used as a single rope on single-pitch climbs and a very light double rope for more technical terrain. With a diameter of 8.7mm and a weight per metre of only 51 grams, its considered to be one of the lightest, thinnest and most durable on the market today. Hows that? It's very simple: The thin diameter is responsible for the low weight, and the rope gets its durability from the high sheath percentage of 36%, making it a very durable rope as a single or double.

As a result of the Dry treatment applied to both the sheath and core, the 8.7 Serenity Dry from Mammut only absorbs 1.5% of its weight in water, according to the UIAA Dry Test. So, you wont have to worry about it getting saturated with water when youre in mixed terrain, go ice climbing, travel on glaciers or are ski mountaineering. Plus, the rope will stay nice and light in wet conditions and retain both its durability and handling.
