Product description

The utmost in comfort and perfect fit - that's what allows you to really enjoy long treks and mountain tours. The trekking boot CAMINO LL lives up to that challenge with its innovative 'FreeFlex? system that perceptibly eases the movement of the foot and increases the boot's comfort. This trekking boot features an upper of 2.2 mm nubuck leather with soft and supple leather trim at the instep. The leather lining provides optimal temperature regulation and a great fit supported by the LOWA 'X-Lacing? system that minimises tongue slippage. Achieve optimal heel positioning with the proprietary Lace Loop technology with freely moving lace hooks at the ankle, all integrated into a two-zone lacing system. The detailed midsole construction increases support and comfort, whilst the tread profile of the Vibram® outsole 'Apptrail? increases surface contact area. You'll find excellent grip with a self-cleaning tread design and a pronounced front heel edge for best downhill traction.

Excellent boot

After much deliberation I bought Tibets, as they take crampons and are better for high country in winter, but if not for these considerations the Caminos would have been perfect. They are as comfortable as slippers, but with excellent torsional and lateral stiffness.
Highly recommended for easier and flat country.

Good grip

I wouldn’t buy these again - very disappointed

I think these have a design fault which allows water in when it rains a bit - despite good and regular maintenance from the get go. Water ‘pools’ at the bottom of the tongue and then seeps into the stitching either side so I get wet toes! Not what one should expect from this level of investment - I have a pair of Keen trainers which keep my feet drier! This started happening quite soon after I bought them and hasn’t been remedied by Lowa waterproofing spray. It’s in the design unfortunately - only buy if you live in a dry place!
