Head torches: when night turns to day

LED Head torches

An LED head torch is a must-have for nighttime mountain adventures and for finding your valuables in a dark tent. They're like small spotlights that can illuminate your field of view during various activities. Plus, thanks to their elastic band, you can easily secure a head torch to your head or helmet. This allows you to use your hands for other things, such as holding your map, setting up a tent or simply for jogging.

Adjustable light modes

Modern LED head torches have multiple light modes. The light intensity of the head torch can be intensified or dimmed by the press of a button. The light cone will then adapt to your individual needs. In addition, most LED head torches are powered by conventional batteries that are located directly in the housing of the head torch or in a separate battery compartment. When it comes to professional head torches made for mountaineering, these consist of a separate battery pack with a cable that's attached to the head torch, so you can stow away the battery in your backpack whilst on the go.

A light source for emergencies

Especially in autumn and winter, mountain athletes often end up wandering around unassisted in the dark. To prevent this from happening, you should always carry a head torch with you in case of an emergency.
