Product description

Fits like a normal shoe and your first vertical steps will be so much fun with Women's Tarantula by La Sportiva! This comfortable shoe has no downturn, slight asymmetry and follows the natural shape of the foot. Plus, the robust leather adapts to the foot after some time. The non-slip FriXion sole ensures good traction and is very stiff for great edge stability. In addition, the body weight is optimally supported and the soles are long-lasting.
The cleverly designed hook-and-loop fastener makes Women's Tarantula really stand out and provides many possibilities to perfectly adjust the shoe to your foot. The shoe can be quickly put on or taken off, via two hook-and-loop closures, as well as three heel loops. Women's Tarantula by La Sportiva is the perfect combination of robust material and incredible comfort, ideal for beginners! ;

Great first climbing shoe

I bought this show about a year ago when I first started climbing. It has lasted until now but is beginning to wear through.

I would highly recommend this shoe - I bought it is a size down from my street show size. It was perfect for all the indoor climbing I did and held out for a wee bit of outdoor bouldering.

Advantages
Good grip
Versatile
High edge stability
Disadvantages
Not adjustable

I would buy this on the smaller size

Very comfortable shoe, a bit too comfortable. Unfortunately the shoe has stretched a bit too much after couple of months of regular climbing and became too loose. I can fit my 2no fingers to the back of the heel by this point of having the shoes for over a year. My own fault for not doing research on the shoe materials though! So if I was buying it again - I'd get a size smaller. That's the only reason why I am giving it 3 stars and not 5.... Because they are not usable any more unless I am on easy Trad ledges and not on slabs / smearing... Or warm up routes. Other than that - it is what's written on a tin. Versatile, comfortable, non-agressive shoe. Perfect for beginners.
