The Solution from La Sportiva are true classics. They are rightly among the most popular climbing shoes in the performance range. The shoes feature a soft, yet very precise construction, which is ideal for modern, technically demanding bouldering and steep sport climbing. Their strengths? Precision on small footholds and hooks!

Construction

The La Sportiva Solution boast strong pre-tensioning which is very durable thanks to the proven P3 System (Permanent Power Platform). In addition, the shoes are characterised by an aggressive downturn and moderate asymmetry, thereby offering excellent power transfer to the toes. This makes them particularly suitable for steep, overhanging routes, narrow ledges and tiny footholds.

Great hooking qualities

The moulded heel counter and textured, relatively flat rubber over the toes are specifically designed for technical hooks. They offer excellent protection and grip for perfect precision when heel and toe-hooking!

Sole

The sole is made from soft and extremely high-traction Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber. As a result, the shoes are ideal for supporting your weight with just friction and smearing on flat surfaces. This is especially advantageous for modern, dynamic indoor bouldering!

Fit

The La Sportiva Solution are best suited for narrow to medium width feet. In addition, they are particularly recommended for Egyptian feet, i.e. feet where the second toe is smaller than the first. Due to the strong pre-tensioning and the overall very aggressive construction, they are also definitely not comfort shoes that you would want to wear during multi-pitch climbing routes. They are not all-rounders, but rather specialists, also in terms of their fit.

Took a while to stretch as bought 2 sizes too small, but once worn in they've performed perfectly and lasted me a long time. Definitely be buying a new pair once these are through!
