I've had these boots for over 15 years and they are still going strong. They give great support and keep you warm and dry in just about any conditions.

Hi Matthew,
The best crampon would depend on what your needs are and what the intended use is. The best fitting crampon will have an automatic binding.
Assuming it's for use for general mountaineering with no need for forged front points the Grivel G-12 with the Crampomatic Evo binding would be ideal.
These boots will however, suit any crampon binding.
Tried different soft or medium firm boots, but there is no comparison to this extra firm boot.
Tested it in -20 degrees celsius and 1 meter snow and also used the crampons on the frozen side of the mountain.
All was a bit more that I have been used to, but after 7 hours of trkking in these conditions my feet were warm and dry, and also my legs had all the support they needed.
I really made a great decision.
