Product description

The Nepal Extreme from La Sportiva are NOT, as the name might suggest, suitable for climbing Mount Everest, K2, Annapurna or other Nepalese mountains, but don't underestimate the quality of this crampon-compatible mountaineering boot. The upper is made of three-millimetre thick Idro Perwanger leather, which is long-lasting, water repellent and pretty hard-wearing when properly care for. Plus, it gives the boots quite a natural and traditional twist. The wide rubber rand will protect the boot from debris and sharp ice. Underneath the Perwanger leather, there is Primaloft Synergy insulation. This synthetic microfibre is lightweight and water-repellent and will wick away sweat and dry very quickly. Plus, it boasts an excellent weight-to-warmth ratio. In other words, your feet will stay as dry and warm as possible! For insulation from below, La Sportive incorporated a nine-millimetre thick midsole, which also provides a high level of comfort and midfoot support. The Vibram sole with its grippy Impact Brake System is particularly robust and will provide the grip you need on rock and snow. Plus, the sole is stiff enough to drive them into the snow with quite a bit of oomph. The EZ Flex System serves to deliver comfortable flex for your feet for unrestricted movement - something you'll definitely appreciate on long, steep climbs. The EZ Out System serves to facilitate the unlocking of the lace lock, which makes it easy to re-tie the boots. The Nepal Extreme boots are perfect for mountaineering adventures in rock and ice in the European Alps of the Pyrenees mountains. You'll love them!
