Product description

The La Sportiva Kid's Gripit climbing shoes were specifically made for children. They have certain characteristics that support a child's mobility and body awareness. They allow the child to feel the rock and to develop his or her proprioceptive and motor skills.
Not only can the shoe be adjusted for an individualised fit, but the quick lacing system with a hook and loop closure allows you or your child to further optimise fit. The heel can be tightened or loosened to meet the needs of the child as well. For those growing feet, the shoes feature the Zero Press Construction, which prevents pressure points on the growth plate and avoids pressure on the metatarsal, which could impede growth. The No-Edge Technology promotes the child's sensory development by providing the growing climbers with higher sensitivity, thus allowing them to hone their footwork. Plus, there are no edges on the sole. Thus, the distance between their feet and the rock has been reduced to a minimum, allowing for homogeneous pressure on the rock. Lastly, the shoe's FriXiion sole provides great traction.
The La Sportiva Kid's Gripit are for all those mountain and nature-loving kids who want to develop their skills on the rocks.

Great for beginners

These shoes are extremely comfortable and will not damage children's feet. They were brilliant for m y daughter's first year of climbing. They do run small (child is uk13 and needed uk 1/2). As your child gains skills, they will probably need to progress to a more 'technical' climbing shoe.
