I bought these boots - size 11.5 UK or EU 46 1/2 - for a summer Mont Blanc attempt in September 2022. Although our team didn't actually make MB, we did achieve Gran Paradiso (4060m). As a B3 rated, these boots are certainly stiff, sturdy and grippy enough to tackle the high, snowy areas requiring crampons, albeit a bit heavy feeling at first. With their slight 'rocker gait' I found them reasonably comfy for the mountain approach paths (even better with a liner sock & Sidas insole), and were excellent for scrambling over mixed terrain of glacier and rock. I have since changed my crampons to a lighter model i.e. Petzel, that now fit properly at each end of the boot. I have a wide forefoot, yet these boots suit me very well. Given the total stiffness of the sole unit, I spent 4 weeks prior to the trip 'wearing in' the boots on local moorland.
