Product description
Just as good for an evening jog as for your next skyrunning competition: Helios 2.0 trail running shoe by La Sportiva. The shoe has a low heel of just 4 mm and ensures that you get a natural running feel. The sole made with MEMlex EVA foam is fitted with a cushioning platform to ensure the right amount of shock absorption and the dynamics your feet need for an unrestricted heel-to-toe roll.
The breathable outer mesh material of the Helios 2.0 trail running shoe fits snugly around the foot. A synthetic overlay reduces wear and tear. The out-sole is made with a non-slip Fixion-AT rubber mix for optimized performance on dry and rocky surfaces. Last but not least, its light weight makes the Helios 2.0 trail running shoe a firm favorite! ;"

for me was a downgrade from helios 1

1. The front is narrower then helios 1. As a direct effect, my bigger toes hurts on the side, even if the shoe length size is fine. Since I had to run few km in them to actually feel this, I no longer can return them :(
2. The first version had a rubber piece on the back, just on top of it (very important) to help you put the heel in. The new helios 2, ditched this, and put a different fabric, a bit lower on the back of the shoe, comparing to helios 1, which doesn’t help at all putting the heel inside. Au contraire.
3. The new lacing system. If they are going to copy salomon shoes, at least put a mesh on top, to put the rest of the lace under it. Also I usually like to use a different lacing pattern, and this new lacing system doesn’t allow me by default to take the laces out and put it my way.

Diffiult to imagine who this would fit

I normally run in Salomon Sense and was looking for sturdier racing shoe but toebox both narrow and shallow - horrible fit. Tried Helios SR whih is 10 grams heavier with 2mm drop and so far seem great

  • Advantages
    Good grip
