Product description

Reliable water treatment while travelling and touring: the Vario by Katadyn! You can use the water filter together with most of the usual outdoor bottles and hydration backpacks. It clears even cloudy liquids reliably from bacteria and protozoa. Apart from that the activated charcoal removes taste or smell producing substances, such as chlorine, pesticides (lindan, DDT) and trihalomethanes (THMs).
A high performance glass fiber filter (AntiClog-cartridge with 0.3 microns glassfibres) and an activated charcoal filter are in operation for quick water treatment (up to 2 liters per minute). In the case of very cloudy water you can easily activate the ceramic pre-cleaner, which helps to extend the service life of the glass fiber filter.
The Vario can be used by one or two people and fits well into your camping-, trekking- or travelling luggage. Great combination of high performance and simple handling!
