G280 initial thoughts
As an Inov-8 convert (own MudClaw 300) I really want to say the G280 is a great shoe. Yes, it has a good robust grip sole unit. Yes, Inov-8 have created a cushioned sole unit - with a reasonable heel drop, making the switch between road shoes easy. However, as a trail shoe you look for support to stabilize your foot whilst running on the trail. This element of development seems to have been missed... such a shame. Hopefully, the next version of the G280 will address to make it a truly great shoe.
