Product description

A fast and functional trail running shoe: the Roclite G 290 from Inov-8. The trail shoe features a comfy mesh upper that sheds moisture and sweat well to keep your foot dry and comfortable. The removable insole and flexible laces make it easy to get a comfortable, locked-down fit that you can change at any time. The toe bumper delivers a good amount of protection in rocky terrain.

As for the midsole, it is built to deliver good energy return, solid cushioning and a smooth ride. The outsole provides the necessary grip, even when it’s wet out there. This trail running shoe has got it all and some style to boot: the Roclite G 290!

Great grip and stability

I loved the previous model which lasted me a couple of years before the rubber on the heel got a hole.
However, this new version I liked less cause the design of the front is different and less durable, I quickly got a hole on the top front which is annoying as all the rest is fine.

Otherwise - great shoe for its grip - use it also on rock scrambling, sticks well even on wet rock.
Perfect traction on icy snow (as good as you can get).

Lots of space in front for those with wide feet.
This is zero drop, so the shoe is pretty stiff - not much cushion, can be tough to run long distances on hard surfaces like rock/asphalt.

  • Disadvantages
    Wear down quickly
