Good shoes, but a little awkward fit
First Hoka shoes I have bought and while they're robust, clearly well made and stand up in all weathers, I found the fit to be quite uncomfortable.
They're a little narrow, so the toe box doesn't have much room, and there are points that rub on my longer runs (the instep and under the laces). The area under the laces has the most impact due to the material rubbing on the top of my foot.
These are OK for a shorter run (10k) but no good at all for the ultra distances I wanted to use them for. Back to Inov8 for me.
- Advantages
- Good grip
- Robust
- Disadvantages
- Rubbing
- small fit
