Great solo tent, incredibly fast pitching
I used this tent for a 3 week solo motorcycle adventure in southern Europe, mostly wild camping.
It takes less than 3 minutes to pitch this tent as the footprint, inner and outer fly all pitch together. one pole, 6 pegs and its up and ready to move your stuff in. This makes it great as a shelter when the rain comes but also for wild camping. Obviously a 1kg tent is not going to be roomy, however I had sufficient space to store motorcycle helmet, jacket, boots and trousers (all made bulky with foam body armour) and a motorcycle tank bag. On days where I stayed on a campsite for more than one night, coupled with a small lightweight tarp it proved versatile and never felt restrictive, even when the weather was miserable.
For me the biggest advantage is the incredibly small packsize meant that I could leave my motorcycle panniers at home and take advantage of great off road riding trials in the mountains, this really opened up the opportunities for some fantastic wild camping next to mountain lakes and in woodland beside mountain streams.
I would suggest if you suffer fear of small enclosed spaces you should try before you buy as the tent design means that when sleeping the sloping inner fabric is closer to the face than most other tents, which could cause some distress.
Overall the quality of materials used and the design build quality support the high price tag.
over the years I have tried many lightweight tents with varying degrees of success, the Euan will certainly be my goto tent of choice where weight and packsize are important to minimise.
