I've bought these slippers for lightweight travel and multiday hikes. They were a great investment:
- keep my feet really warm in cold hostels, couchsurfer's homes and cottages
- add no weight to my backpack
- are really easy to clean from everything you happened to step in
Some things you should know
- I love the sole as I can clean it with a sponge, so no worries if that Airbnb kitchen wasn't as clean as you thought.... But it's not a Birkenstock sole, obviously, so you will eventually feel the cold when standing on an outside terrasse for too long. Still, I'm soooo happy with them, as they take up very little space and weight compared to bulky Birkenstock or rubber sandals.
- you can roll them up, but they won't get as small as socks, and when you try to stuff them into the last corner of your overfull backpack, you the sole rubs on everything and it's not so easy to slide them down. So if you're really saving on every cubic centimeter of space, you should better give up completely on the idea of slippers, or get some of those disposable ones from hotels.
