Question from Luke
15.06.2020
Is this line hitched so you can thread it through itself?

Can you thread it around a tree and on itself to then attach the loose end to a ratchet? I can't tell in the picture if it is hitched or if a carabiner system is necessary.

Hi Luke, I think it best that you view the following set up video from Elephant Slacklines as it shows it all very clearly....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2XM805h14I

Doesn't really answer my question. Looks like it hitches on itself via the stitched in carabiner, but can the other end be attached to a ratchet instead of a carabiner locking system?

That's right it attaches to itself and does not use a rachet system but could a rachet system be used. I think not because of the size of the webbing and a rachet that could be used it would not be strong enough to support the weight of an adult.

Good to know that this strap is too thin for a strong ratchet, thank you!
