Product description
A casual, yet functional design: The McLane by Edelrid! This technical softshell jacket is made of windproof, water-repellent and highly breathable Windproof 80. Due to the elastic inserts under the arms and on the sleeves, this jacket provides you with maximum freedom of movement - which is great on cold climbing days.
The 2-way zip makes the jacket comfortable to wear while on belay - just open the zip a bit on the bottom and you can reach your belay device with ease. The thumb loops make sure that your sleeves stay where they are to supposed to be and keep your wrist warm at all times. With the McLane, colder temperatures don't have to spoil your climbing fun.

Good for the price

This is a decent enough lightweight softshell for the price.
It keeps much of the wind off, but don't expect it to keep you warm in a cold wind.
It's very breathable, maiing it quite comfortable to wear.

The cut is decent, but not a typical alpine cut being a little short in the body. This said, the sleeves are a good length, and one has complete freedom of movement when wearing it, so it's pretty good to climb in.
The collar also feels a little on the small side, though, but as I rarely completely do up the zip, I've not found it too much of an issue.
