Anyone looking for an affordable, easy to use belay device - the Jul 2 by Edelrid is the one for you! This belay device has been made for single ropes with a diameter between 8.4 and 11 mm. It follows the tube principle, which means the more friction that is applied, the more breaking power is created. This breaking system is perfectly adjusted to the Jul 2 and is dynamic enough to reliably yet softly break your fall. The handling is optimized on the front, where you use the thumb on your braking hand to support the tuber and keep it open. This creates an easy and fluid flow of rope.
The device is made of Stainless steel, a light yet very solid material. The polyamide cover improves the handling even more. Bring on the next climb with the Jul 2 by Edelrid!
