Doesn't melt like dynema
This sling is better because:
a) It doesn't melt like dynema
b) It is far far more abrasive resistant
c) you can use the slings as prusik sling with confidence.
- Advantages
- Robust
- Robust
- Easy to knot
- stronger than dynema
The 30 cm sling is too short to use as Prusik
The 30 cm version has a seam which is 8 cm long - more than 1/4 of the total length.
This makes it difficult to create a Prusik knot on double ropes. It's just about enough for a single rope.
Maybe the 40 cm sling is better - then again, I'd expect it to be stiffer as the specs say that the 30 cm one has a softer braiding which makes it ideal for Prusik knots.
