Product description

The Eagle Creek Morphus 30 Rolling Gear Bag puts certain key inventions to shame. Sliced bread, for example, is no match for this ultra-durable, ultra-versatile, ultra-lightweight piece of luggage mastery. Modern sanitation may prevent the spread of disease, but this two-in-one number prevents the spread of your stuff when you're traveling for weeks on end. Zip off the gear bag from the wheeled base and pack your stinky socks and pitted-out shirts in that bag. Then pull the inside of the wheeled base out and watch it become a fully functioning U-zip bag that'll handle your bright white undies and fresh-smelling pants. Or, head to Sonoma with the bags attached as one roller, and come home with your clothes in the zip-off gear bag and the wheeled bag full of wine.
Despite rugged fabrics and tough construction, the combined weight of both bags is under 10 pounds, tipping the scales at a meager 9 pounds, 11 ounces. From an air-traveling point of view, the wheeled bag holds nearly 44 pounds of your stuff, and the zip-off gear bag holds almost 47 pounds of stuff. That is a lot of outfits, shoes, or candy for a long weekend! If you don't need both bags, leave the gear bag attached to the rolling base for easy maneuvering through crowded airports and city streets.
The zip-off gear bag gives you multiple carry options, including removable backpack straps, a removable padded shoulder strap, and several grab handles. A separate quick-stash 3-1-1 pocket keeps you organized to avoid irritating your fellow travelers, and the lockable front pocket also sports a key fob with Porter Key bottle opener. Bottom ''bathtub'' construction does not mean you should bathe with your bag. Instead, it provides some water resistance if the zip-off bag goes puddle-diving, intentionally or by accident. Both the gear bag and rolling bag use Bi-Tech fabrics, offering weather and abrasion resistance without a lot of weight. The rolling bag has a triple-ply polycarbonate back shell to withstand overhead compartments, cargo holds, and bus roof tops.
