Product description
Like a Soviet-era tank, the Crux 3G AK47-X Backpack packs plenty of firepower for your alpine pursuits in a stripped-down, guerrilla-esque design. Minimal but not lacking, this proven pack is now on its third generation, with only minor tweaks being made to the original bombproof design. Now utilizing 40% Kevlar and a fully-welded construction, the 3G AK47-X is now slightly lighter than its predecessors. Basically identical to the Crux AK47, the AK47-X features a removable/floating lid, which provides an additional five liters of storage, increasing the overall versatility of the bag.
Every feature on the bag is designed to maximize efficiency in the alpine without compromising the overall durability of the bag. A hydration compatible sleeve allows a hydration bladder (sold separately) to be utilized, while a top compression strap is designed to accommodate a length of climbing route for quick access. Two ice-axe holders are ideal for carrying technical ice tools when en route to the ice, and the over-sized gear loop is ideal for carrying crampons. Side compression straps accommodate a pair of skis or trekking poles, and the 4mm Rivory-Joanny drawcord top closure can be removed and used as an anchor when an emergency rappel is in order.
