When they designed the Men‘s Hybridge Hooded Jacket, the good folks at Canada Goose used body-mapping to determine the areas of your body that most need insulation. With this knowledge in mind, they determined that softshell fabric at the shoulders, hood, and sleeves (anywhere but the core, in other words) offered the greatest dividends in comfort, breathability, and mobility, while forcing the least compromise in insulation. The result is a high-speed, stretchy mobility without a substantial loss in warmth.
At the core, where insulation is the premium concern, Canada Goose stuck with its traditional hardshell/down insulation construction. Premium 750-fill Hutterlite down insulation ensures cold spots are a thing of the distant past, and a sleek, slim fit make it a hit around town or in the foothills. The shoulders, sleeves, and hood are made from three-layer Tri-Endurance softshell fabric, which is water-resistant, breathable, abrasion-resistant, and is backed with high-loft fleece for warmth. Recessed Lycra cuffs add warmth, and the Hybridge‘s hip-length cut provides a bit more cold-weather protection than a traditional jacket. Canada Goose certainly didn‘t forget about the details in the design of the Hybridge Jacket. Articulated sleeves give the jacket a comfortable, natural feel. While most manufacturers design a storm flap into their jackets, Canada Goose actually insulates theirs. They also included two tricot-lined zippered hand pockets and a left-hand drop-in interior pocket for security. The finish of f the Hybridge, Canada Goose added reflective tape at the lower sleeves for added visibility.
