Any alpinist who’s ever looked into going ultra-light has heard of the *Choucas Harness from Blue Ice**. Weighing in at 148 grams, this minimalist harness is just about as light as it gets.

However, it’s extremely important to note that this model is specifically designed for skiers and mountaineers who count every single gram. Cleverly designed, the leg loops come equipped with quick-release buckles, for an easy on/off, even when you’re wearing crampons. Topping off the design are four flexible gear loops and two slots for ice screw holders. The Choucas is a great option for the seemingly endless ice and is particularly well suited for alpinists and those looking for an ultra-light back-up harness.
