I am bang on 32 inch waist and about 5'10"-5'11". The 31" were too tight on the hips/crotch and perfect on the waist but I need to tighten the belt to max on the 32 to fit my 32" waist. That seems silly to me and isn't unique to these trousers. Why do so amny manufacturers find it so hard to make a trouser they call a 32" that is actually 32" around the waist? I also have 24 inch thighs which makes finding trousers tricky and these have enough just about room in the leg and are just about long enough for a casual trouser too. There are some good details as are found in other trousers but there are a few that let the trousers down. The built in belt has more travel than a lot of other brands so the bunching is more even but when on max tightness there is nothing to stop the waist sagging a little and the belt sliding over it. Which brings me on to the belt loops. Waist of time. The two front ones are so far apart the trousers just sag under the belt. The other thing that bugs me is that there are strange little bulges on the hips and knees and a saggy bum. This may be to aid movement and you don't notice it when climbing but I find it annoying. There is plenty of stretch in the fabric so it seems like this could have been avoided. That all said, they are great to climb in. The shorter length means you often don't need to use the adjuster and they move really well. I've not used them much and only for bouldering so far so can't comment on durability or how they feel climbing in a harness, but there is no obvious cause for concern there. I think I may have gone for another trouser if it were not for the thigh problem but if Black Diamond can sort out the belt loops, sizing around the waist and the cut can be a little more tailored, these would be a 5 out of 5. When it comes to replacing them, another pair will still be my starting point as they are the best fit I've found for me, despite a few annoying bugs.
