Arva - Evo5 - Avalanche transceiver

Maximum performance with minimum size – that’s the Evo5 by Arva! This beacon impresses both occasional and regular users. After all, it has all of the essential functions for rescuing avalanche victims. Its straightforward and intuitive operation is practical because it means you don’t lose any crucial time in an emergency. A 3-position slide control, an extra large screen and a central flagging button make the device easier to operate during the search.

The search strip width is 50 metres in total. It corresponds to the width of the area scanned by the device in search mode. The bigger the search strip width the larger the search area covered by the device. Interference management optimises the performance characteristics of the device when searching in an area that is affected by electromagnetic interference. The search strip width automatically reduces to focus on the signal of the device being searched for and to mask interference frequencies. The function can be deactivated if required.

Another practical feature of the Evo5 is that it can automatically return to transmit mode. In the event of a follow-up avalanche, the “revert-to-transmit mode” function enables automatic switching from search to transmit mode without user intervention. The device switches back to transmit mode either via the timer (after the device has not been operated for a specific time) or via motion sensors (after the device has not moved for a specific time). The times can be programmed individually. Group check and U-turn alarm complete the functionalities that make the device easy to use. Small but mighty – that’s the Evo5!
