The Womens Cerium LT Jacket may often be referred to as a down jacket, but it would be more appropriate to call it a hybrid jacket.
Its specific functional properties are obtained by way of the combination of different materials: The outer fabric has been treated with a DWR for water repellency and is breathable and wind resistant as well. The insulation material consists of three different materials: They used high-quality, high fill power goose down along with Coreloft synthetic insulation in two different strengths according to the area of use. Coreloft has been strategically placed in moisture-prone areas. The synthetic material is robust, stays dry longer and wont clump up in wet conditions. Plus, it retains its insulating properties when damp. Plus, it dries much more quickly than down.
The Womens Cerium LT Jacket is an excellent jacket with a great warmth-to-weight ratio. It is incredibly lightweight and has a small pack size, making the jacket perfect as a mid-layer under a hardshell for alpine projects of all kinds. Plus, you can wear it as your outermost layer in nicer weather as well. Of course, it has a women-specific fit and is a bit longer. An excellent jacket with all sorts of practical features!
