Product description
Welcome to the new generation of hiking footwear with the burly yet ultralight Arc'teryx Men's Bora² Mid Backpacking Boot. The Bora² Mid has that same unique style and performance that we all expect from Arc'teryx. For starters, Arc'teryx constructed the removable Adaptive Fit liner separately from the upper in order to hug your foot with breathable, quick-drying mono-mesh for a truly customized fit.
Arc'teryx slipped Gore-Tex's Performance Comfort Stretch membrane inside the Adaptive Fit liner for extremely reliable waterproof, breathable protection. Unlike standard membranes that only provide partial coverage, Performance Comfort Stretch wraps entirely around the foot from top to bottom in order to maximize protection. Best of all, you can remove the Adaptive Fit liner and wear it on its own around the campsite for extra comfort. The liner has a rubberized bottom for traction and long-lasting durability, and you can always replace it with an Arc'teryx Gore-Tex Mid Liner or Gore-Tex Insulated Mid Liner.
The Bora² Mid also features a lightweight and surprisingly durable seamless upper designed to handle rock, snow, and ice with ease. This seamless upper features a non-woven, DWR-treated internal surface that sheds wet weather, PU-coated nylon for air permeability and abrasion-resistance, and TPU film for enhanced support and durability. The two top lace holes have integrated reinforcements to reduce stretching.
Underfoot, Arc'teryx equipped the Bora² Mid with a premium injected EVA midsole designed for stability and enhanced braking. The 3D molded toe and heel caps buffer impact, offer rock protection, and resist cracking. There's also an anatomical arch shank, and the custom-developed 3D molded Ortholite footbed offers maximum comfort and breathability.
For the sole, Arc'teryx worked in collaboration with Vibram to give you the best traction on any trail. This sole includes a climbing zone with traction grooves, grippy inserts for smearing, RockGrip technology with anti-slip lugs, a mountaineering-inspired heel tread for stability, and a spherical heel shape for a smooth stride.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT

I read several reviews of different boots and i kept coming back to the Bora 2, so decided to purchase. I wasnt disappointed - they are excellent. after two small hikes with the dog i then put them to the challenge of a 35 mile YOMP with former ex marines. They were so comfortable, they did pinch a bit but i soon realised that this just required a small adjustment to the lace tension and then they were fine. whilst my fellow marines were getting attention for blisters by the medic, i was perfectly fine. The inner boot doing its job just as Arc teryx claimed. I cannot recommend these boots higher - they were excellent, my feet remained dry through rain and fields of wet grass, comfortable over rocks and roads - if you are looking for a boot that ticks all the boxes i would say choose the Bora2
