My wife and l always used Icebreaker when it comes to Merino wool, but then l saw this t-shirt and l liked its colors. It also seemed to be made of Merino wool so l decided to try it.
Initially, the very first few minutes after l tried it on l felt an itchy spot (this had also happened with an Icebreaker t-shirt so no big deal). A while after it was all good.
I took this t-shirt to do the "Southern Upland way" in March. No need to say it was very cold, especially up in the mountains. Keep in mind in rained mostly every day, all day. l got wet, too. So wet and cold conditions for the most part.
This t-shirt served me exceptionally well. I found it very comfortable to wear all day long (while hiking, l had an Icebreaker for sleeping).
So 16 days, 214 miles and guess what? l love the t-shirt now more than when l bought it.
Highly recommend it. Just keep in mind it weights 294g (in case you're a thru-hiker).
